We chose Gateway Inn for EV charging and over our 3-night stay managed to get a few sessions. Staff were friendly and helpful (thanks Tim!). The location worked for us. The complimentary access to Balance Mayfield gym was great. Bathroom was modern and shower excellent. Bed was comfortable. It was quiet.

I didn’t have brekkie there as I was working early hours. I did have room service once. Though I must say the salmon was fairly well over cooked and not sure what happened to the tartare sauce it was pretty nasty :( Shower needs some waterproofing on the glass and tiles there was some black mould. I only noticed because I’m a Waterproofing contractor from Canberra and was up for a Waterproofing job in mayfield.

The one bed apartments are spacious that comes with King bed and stove top. The living and bedrooms are spacious and clean. The sofa, bed, kitchen and utensils provided were really good. The location of the property was good, it was 15 mins to any place in NewCastle.

Very nice place! Stylish , modern , clean, comfortable… Shower is amazing, its for two people the same time! Perfect for couples getaways :)) Bar and food next door, and the Casino next door is a entertainment bonus! All in one! All you need for fun vacation 👍

Our room was surprisingly large and comfortable, overlooking the oval with a fabulous bathroom and the best hairdryer I've even seen in hotel accommodation. It was a bonus that is was adjacent to the Club as it made our dining options simpler. Perfect place to stay, especially as it was a working trip and we needed to be up and out early each day. The parking was also free and very convenient.

The size of the 3 rooms were good, and the relaxing corner in the windows behind the curtains was amazing. It was lovely to receive a daily room service. There were sufficient beds and sofa to accommodate all family members. It's wonderful to realise that the parking spots are free, including the extended parking area.

The staff when we checked in, and also the lady in the evening when we asked to change rooms, were so lovely. There was a problem with the aircon in the room we first had, but we was another spa room where the aircon was working. So all groovy gravy thanks. Also, the bath is perfection. Get a spa room and lay in the bath for hours. It'll be the highlight of your life :)
