The Gateway Inn, Newcastle

Terrific accommodation, quiet rooms, very spacious and comfortable. The view from the rooms facing the back of the hotel overlook the Knights Junior training field and facility - super tidy garden on view. Fabulous to have the Leagues club adjacent, and room key entry to that very convenient. Great Breakfast at the club. Undercover parking available Free of Charge for both the hotel stay and guests for the leagues club. Super clean hotel. Free shuttle bus at the front door to any game or events at Mc Donalds Stadium, check event details.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The rooms were a good size with somewhere to sit and the beds comfortable. I liked the retractable clothes line in the shower. It was a very comfortable stay. Also it was convenient to be able to walk to the Wests club next door with various eating options. We stayed several non-consecutive nights over a week and had different rooms. All were similarly good.

We chose the Gateway Inn as after a matinee of Rolling Thunder at Civic Theatre we were having dinner with friends at the attached West's Club.. Uber ride was only $20 from Newcastle so location was great and good free car parking. The room was great, quite large, window seat is brilliant, double headed shower in the modern bathroom.

Liked that the room had a balcony was able to open door get some fresh air.
